Art Critique Challenge for Anyone!!!

✨Art Critique Challenge Bay-Bay!!!✨ I love exploring the story in a photo with you and my @snhu students everyday... collecting different lenses from which I can look at the world, and forever calibrating mine from what I learn from you. I look for #metaphor and #symbolism everywhere... Almost compulsively 😬, and definitely instinctually 😂

#critiques can be a fun little break for yo' mind. Wanna try?

What do you see here? If the grass background is a symbol for something deeper, beyond just the aesthetic and story of "nature", what is it?

What if I chose to shoot my subject on the concrete sidewalk instead of the grass? How would that change the story? What if the grass was dead instead of deep green?

I am shooting from above here. What narrative meaning does that carry? What if I would have gotten down to grass-level? How would that shift the story?

What would you title this shot? Why?

Please be sure to double-space your response and cite your sources in MLA 😂

Conclusion: As a photographer, art critiques are such a wonderful way to engage the creative voice inside. Nature and nature objects are a great way to produce still life photography. The choices you make all work together to craft a narrative and story. These choices strengthen a visual artist and their work!
