This is a honey locust seed pod, baybay. These little sculptural wonders twist and contort and dramatically change every season. They are furry, pliable, and green right now... but come Winter, they become brittle, smooth, and leathery. They turn a deep deep brown, and the seeds rattle inside the pod.
